| | Why should you pick Kim Finlan to be your beginning piano teacher? - I graduated from Chico State in 2000 with a BA in Music Education with honors. I earned my CA K-12 teaching credential in music one year later.
- I taught public high school band and choir for five years, and public elementary school band and classroom music for one year.
- I have played piano for 18 years and played piano for a high school choir in 2004-06

| | - I opened my private studio in August of 2005 and it has been very successful.
- I use Alfred’s preparatory level books for younger children. I try to make learning piano fun! I give prizes each week to younger students for practicing.
- For older kids and adults, I teach the style of music they want to learn! I can teach beginning jazz, classical, chords, contemporary Christian worship music and music theory.
- I hold two recitals per year.
