Kimberly Scherba Bruder offers cello lessons from her home studio in West Chico.
Kimberly graduated from CSU, Chico with a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts
in Music. She has been teaching cello privately for 30 years. Since 2018, Kim has
been employed at CSU, Chico in the music department as studio cello instructor
and lecturer. She has also been the cello instructor at Butte Community College
for one year. She is Suzuki trained by a private teacher in San Francisco. A full
resume is available upon request.
Please contact Kim through through the Music
Connection to inquire about lessons. The charge is $200/month for four one hour
lessons. She accepts age 10 though adults.
Two to four recitals per year will be given so that students have the opportunity to
play for each other and their families. Once a student is proficient enough at
playing the cello, they have the opportunity to play with another student as a duo,
and then later play as a trio. My students have played at community events such
as Christmas Preview, Stansbury House Victorian Christmas, and assisted living
homes. They have opportunities to play with small orchestras as well. Contact Instructor
