My name is Melinda Maxwell, a private music instructor, now, with 19 years of teaching experience. I teach in a studio within the Music Connections Store located on 341 W 3rd St


I customize lessons and arrange music to teach my students. I teach contemporary popular tunes, as well as classics, and many other popular styles, country, rock, jazz, blues and more. My aim is to inspire and motivate my students. I work with my students to set personal music goals for fun, enjoyment, and educational expectations. I teach:

I am a singer/songwriter recording artist, professional local music. I play saxophone and guitar professionally, regularly, around Chico. I play by ear, can improvise freely on all the instruments that I play, and I read music and teach reading/ or playing by ear / or both, depending upon the wish, or needs of the student. I teach with compassion and experience. I am very thorough, and monitor, and listen, and give immediate candid feedback for swift learning.
